Domestic electrical testing and inspection services in Sussex

You can’t put a price on the safety of your loved ones or on the peace of mind that security brings.

Based in Newhaven and covering the needs of home-owners throughout East and West Sussex, Koning Electrical offers high quality Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) for the protection of your home and your family.

What is an EICR?

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) should be carried out in your home every ten years.

Only carried out by fully qualified and NAPIT accredited electricians, an EICR is a thorough inspection of the condition of all your existing electrical installations.

All electrical works will degrade over time, so we’ll establish if there’s wear and tear or any other deterioration.

Here at Koning Electrical, we think that this is an essential service. We will identify:

  • Any overloading of your circuits or electrical equipment
  • Possible electric shock or fire hazards
  • Defective DIY work
  • Any lack of earthing or bonding

Your fuse box may need replacing if it’s old, for example, and we’ll also review the state of your switches, light fittings and socket-outlets.

It will also highlight any issues with your immersion and water heaters, electric storage heaters, extractor fans, your fuse board and many other important things that may need to be fixed to keep your family safe.

Nothing escaKoning Electrical our notice. Everything and anything that could affect your safety will be noted and reported back to you.

The report is in a checklist format, enabling you to understand quickly and easily if any remedial work will need to be carried out, which we can quote for of course. Of course, you may require urgent action but don’t worry we can take care of that, too.
